2007 POLICIES
All residents and visitors agree to comply to the Policies setforth. Those who do not follow our policies may be removed from DeerLake Park temporarily or permanently, without refund.
TRAILERS
We are a closed park. All new and resale trailers must be approved or purchased through our sales office. All trailer resales on site must be arranged through our sales office only. Florida Rooms and Awnings must be purchased from the sales office.
SITES
Please set up on your site only and do not infringe on neighbouring sites. Do not change sites. Do not strip or cut branches from trees. Campers are entitled to use only the hook-ups, picnic table and fire ring allocated to their site. Campsites must be cleaned prior to departure with all garbage disposed of in garbage bins or Garbage area.
LATE ARRIVALS
Late Arrivals must notify the office by phone. Only campers with reservations will be admitted into the park up to 11:00pm. After this time, we will not admit anyone in the park who has not previously registered and set up his or her campsite.
PRE-REGISTRATION
Please pre-register by 10:00am if staying an additional night (subject to availability). Early check-in and late check-outs are subject to surcharges (1/2 day charges apply).
FIREWOOD
Firewood is available for purchase. We provide fire pits (one per site).
PROPANE
'Superior' brand propane is used throughout the park (inquire at office).
WATER USE
Our water system is more than adequate to meet the needs of all our lots and facilities. Please use discretion and avoid excessive water usage during peak periods (e.g. washing cars, trailers, boats, etc). Our water consumption is highest during hot weather.
HYDRO USE
We appreciate beautiful and nightly illuminated sites, however please use hydro as if it were your own. We suggest a limit of 2 strings of lights with only 25 watt bulbs, or 2 posts with 60 watt bulbs. Please turn off when retiring.
GARBAGE
Bottles and cans may be put in the blue recycling bins. Please keep newspapers and cardboard boxes separated from other garbage. All other trash may be put in the garbage truck. Please do not allow children to dispose of garbage in large bins as the bags are heavy. Large articles of garbage such as fridges, bicycles etc. are your responsibility and are not to be left in front of garbage bins. Please see management if you have oversize items.
SANITARY DUMP STATION
A service charge of $25.00 applies for anyone not staying at the park.
PUMP-OUT
Pump outs are done once a week. To receive this service, ensure that you are on the pump out list in front of the store by Sunday night. If you are not on the list, and must later request a pump out, further charges apply. Extra guests mean extra pump outs at an additional charge of $10.00. Switch to non-toxic products for your RV biological wastewater. Use certified EcoLogo Products.
INSURANCE
It is understood that each camper or seasonal has his own insurance covering trailer, boat, contents and personal liability etc. for loss or damage through fire, theft, collision, vandalism or otherwise, for twelve months of the year. DeerLake Park Inc. must be free from any liability whatsoever. Campers and seasonals must present proof of insurance to the office.
SECURITY OPERATING GATE CARDS
A deposit of $25.00 is required to obtain a gate access card. Upon returning the card in good condition, you will receive a $20.00 refund.
VEHICLE PERMITS & REGISTRATION
Permits must be displayed in the windshield of your vehicle, boat, seadoo, etc, at all times while on park property. All boat launchings must be registered.
REFUNDS
There are no refunds, rain checks, or exchanges due to inclement weather.
LEAVING
If you decide over the winter to leave, we must receive a letter or fax to this effect by April 1 of the respective year, or you will be responsible for the complete seasonal fee that year. Full payment is due before release of trailer.
GUESTS & VISITORS
Guests, relatives and visitors must register at the office. Unregistered guests will be charged an additional 50% charge. Campers are responsible for the actions and safety of their children and guests. Visitor's fees will apply. Guests & Visitors using our Boat Launch with seasonal must register at the office (fees apply).
DEPENDENTS (children under 18 years of age & living at home)
Children must be accompanied by an adult to and from the Park. Children are not permitted to be left alone (without parents / guardians) within the Park. All children must be under parental supervision after 11:00pm (exceptions made on teen dance nights). Supervision is required for children under the age of 10 at the pool, pond, playground and near water. Visiting children must be signed in by an adult from the site they are visiting.
PETS
Pets must be kept on leashes at all times, and never left unattended. "Stoop and Scoop" policy is in effect at all times and in all locations. Whoever is walking the dog at the time is responsible for scooping, noise and behaviour. No more than two dogs will be permitted per campsite, including guests' pets.
BICYCLES
Bicycles must be ridden slowly and with care along roadways. Parents are asked to teach their children the safety rules of cycling. Helmets are required. No bicycle riding after dusk without proper lights. Bicycles must be put in bike racks in front of office and store. Do not lean bicycles against the walls, windows, doors or lay them on the ground.
SWIMMING
The swimming pool is open from 10:00am to dusk daily (weather permitting). An adult must accompany children under the age of 10 at all times in the pool area. Proper swimwear is required in pool area. No jeans or cut-offs are allowed. Please shower using the provided facilities before entering the pool. Absolutely no glass is allowed in pool areas. No running or diving. There is no lifeguard on duty. Please obey rules posted in swimming areas to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all guests. Absolutely no swimming or diving is permitted in the boat docking area.
PLAYGROUND
Absolutely no glass is allowed. Parents are responsible for the actions of their children and their guests. Playground equipment must not be mistreated. Trampolines are for children only. Children under 10 must be supervised by an adult.
WASHROOMS & SHOWERS
Cleaned daily and/or as required and usually during the times posted on the walls. Smoking is not permitted in any of the buildings. Loitering is not permitted. Please report any items requiring immediate attention to the office. Do not put foreign objects in toilets or urinals. Please advise your children that these are not playing areas.
CLOTHES LINES
Clothes lines permitted for swimwear and bathing towels only.
FISHING
Fishing only permitted off the rocks on the end of Mountainview Place. No fishing near boats or off any docks.
CAMPFIRES
Campfires are limited to fire rings and must be attended by an adult at all times. Please smother campfires before retiring or leaving the campground. For safety reasons do not move fire rings. Firewood is available for purchase.
QUIET TIME
No excessive noise between 11:00pm and 8:00am.
DISORDERLY BEHAVIOUR
Disorderly behaviour and untidiness will not be tolerated, and we have the right to evict or refuse admission to anyone not abiding by these rules. DeerLake Park is private property.
